NY Gov David Patterson to Resign Tomorrow

jeff willhelm says:

Apparently some bombshell. I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Amplifyd from www.mediaite.com
Whispers have been building about huge news regarding New York governor David Paterson, who took office after the resignation of Eliot Spitzer. Friday, The Huffington Post noticed the growing media buzz about a forthcoming New York Times scoop, but little other information could be gleaned from the handful of anonymous sources. Now, The Business Insider is reporting exclusively that the news will drop Monday and Governor Paterson’s resignation will follow.Read more at www.mediaite.com

Happy Birthday To An Uncommon Man

Amplifyd from www.moonbattery.com
Right now … I’m looking down on a busy city at rush hour. The streets below are twin ribbons of sparkling red and white.
I wonder about the people in those cars, who they are, what they do, what they are thinking about as they head for the warmth of home and family. Come to think of it, I’ve met them - oh, maybe not those particular individuals, but still I feel I know them. Some of our social planners refer to them as “the masses” which only proves they don’t know them. I’ve been privileged to meet people all over this land in the special kind of way you meet them when you are campaigning. They are not “the masses,” or as the elitists would have it - “the common man.” They are very uncommon. Individuals each with his or her own hopes and dreams, plans and problems, and the kind of quiet courage that makes this whole country run better than just about any other place on earth.
January 27, 1978

Happy Birthday, President Reagan.

Covering up American History Prior to 1877

jeff willhelm says:

This is a primary goal of progressives. They need to separate us from the founders and our founding principles. In order to “progress” beyond the Constitution, we need to forget the Constitution and the ideas behind it.

Amplifyd from blog.heritage.org
Forget George Washington, James Madison, Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln—nothing meaningful happened in America before 1877.

That’s the lesson North Carolina public high schools may start teaching. Under proposed changes in their high school history curriculum, the U.S. History course (which seniors take) will cover events from 1877 forward only.

It will be as if the American Founding never happened.

In Your Face -Watch Video: Dems cheer while robbing us blind, borrowing $14,294,000,000,000

jeff willhelm says:

They celebrate their spending achievement. It is their goal to crush this nation. How can anyone watch this and believe differently.

Amplifyd from patriotroom.com

The bill passed by a 217-212 vote, with no Republicans voting in support. Today’s increase of $1.9 trillion is the largest in American history, and adds $6,500 in debt for every man, woman, and child in the country.

All this debt and absolutely nothing to show for it. They are robbing us blind.

Is He Suggesting Violence Against Glenn Beck?

Amplifyd from trueslant.com
Since advertisers began pulling their commercials on The Glenn Beck Show in response to his accusation that President Obama is a racist, Beck’s ratings have exploded.

While it is true that large advertisers including Wal-Mart, Sprint, General Mills, DirecTV, Geico, Progressive, Procter & Gamble and Radio Shack  have pulled out of the program, to name just a few, no sleep need be lost for FOX News. According to the network, all the ads pulled from Beck’s program have simply been moved to other programs. And with Beck’s ratings soaring, it’s only a matter of time until the storm will pass and advertisers will pay an even higher price to hawk their wares on The Glenn Beck Show.

It takes a lot more than an advertiser boycott to bring down hate spewing TV vampires like Glenn Beck. Maybe a spike in the heart might do the job.

Surprise: Obama rolling back civil protections against Patriot Act

jeff willhelm says:

Of course, he can do that because the Left is only against the Patriot Act when it is used to fight a war on terrorism. If it is used to “fundementally transform America”, well, then, that’s OK.

Amplifyd from washingtontimes.com

President Obama is coming under pressure from Democrats and civil liberties groups for failing to fill positions on an oversight panel formed in 2004 to make sure the government does not spy improperly on U.S. citizens.

Since taking office, Mr. Obama has allowed the board to languish. He has not even spent the panel’s allocation from the fiscal 2010 budget.
